The term Interactive Technologies refers generally to the set of hardware and software that support aspects of human-computer interaction allowing to develop new forms of communication with complex interactive systems (computers, wearables, robots) with applications in various areas of activity, from industry, through services, to the areas of cultural and creative industries, education, entertainment, among others. The Master in Interactive Technologies results from a restructuring of the Master in Technology and Digital Art (MTAD), which implied the change of its designation to be more in agreement with the focus of the Master Program, namely in the technological aspects of the engineering, still allowing to frame aesthetic / artistic and design contributions used as support for the creation of interfaces and interactive technological applications.
