[EN] “Logos” is the word used by a pre-Socratic Greek philosopher named Heraclitus, defining the principle which gives the cosmic order and rationality to the world. For Heraclitus, the universe is in constant flux, constantly changing, making the reality a merely succession of temporary states.
In a physical approach, “Logos” is represented by a light sculpture that will react to different elements of the space. In a minimal space and filled with uncertainty, the elements interact with each other, seeking to understand the scope and extend the constant flow in the viewer’s perception, which is understood as a key element of the moment.

Matrecos (2012)

The traditional board games, sports, and others have taken a new form with the combination of interactivity, interfaces, and, somehow, with the everyday life. From generation to generation game concept took new definitions.
Thus, as part of Technology and Digital Art Master degree, at the University of Minho, we made a social game recasting – football table game – trying to reproduce the immersive effect that this traditional game deliver, by using Android devices who communicate with the virtual environment through OSC.
We call it “Matrecos”, like the portuguese slang when referring to this game.
